A striking vintage micro mosaic brooch pin featuring a beautifully detailed floral centre panel, surrounded by a halo of turquoise-colour cabochon clusters in a richly textured gilt-tone setting.
At the centre sits a finely worked micro mosaic panel depicting white daisies and tiny blossoms set against a sky-blue ground with green foliage — composed of very small hand-set tesserae, showing the craftsmanship associated with traditional Italian-style micro mosaic work.
Radiating around the centre are multiple roundels, each set with bright turquoise-colour cabochons and rope-style borders, creating a wonderful sunburst / daisy form overall. The layered construction and warm gold tone metal give the piece depth and presence when worn.
